Celebrate Black History Month!
Black History Month is an important time to recognize and celebrate the contributions of Black individuals in neuroscience and STEM, while reflecting on the ongoing need for diversity, equity, and inclusion in these fields. It provides an opportunity to highlight the achievements of Black scientists and support initiatives that create more inclusive opportunities for students and researchers. Click on the images below to access links to programs designed to support students of color in STEM, and learn about a few of the many individuals of color who have made significant contributions to science. We also encourage students to visit the Black in Neuro webpage, which amplifies the voices and work of Black neuroscientists. By learning about the efforts and accomplishments of people driving change, we can continue progress together toward equity in neuroscience, STEM, and beyond.
